TriMark China to Host Attendees at bauma China 2012
November 27 – 30 at Booth #N5.755
bauma China, the International Trade
Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Construction
Vehicles and Equipment, takes place in Shanghai.
With a total of 1,892 exhibitors from 37 countries, 155,615 visitors from
171 countries and 230,000 square meters of exhibition space in 2010, bauma
China is Asia's largest and most important Construction Equipment event
Once again, key international players will be presenting their machines and
products at bauma China. Attendees are decision-makers looking specifically
for new solutions: CEOs, managers, investors and buyers from around the
worldand of course from Asia's major growth markets in particular.
In China itself demand for construction machinery in the coming years is
set to continue growing strongly. A forecast by the China Construction
Machinery Association (CCMA), for example, predicts that in 2015, 100,000
cranes will be sold in the People's Republic. That would be an increase of
over 130 percent on the 43,400 units sold in 2010. High growth rates are
also predicted for concrete mixing vehicles (+98%) and concrete pump
vehicles (+88%). And, in contrast to the 3,019 asphalt pavers that were
sold in 2010, in 2015 sales will reach around 5,000 (+66%).

A
Message from Keith Dolbear
|
|
In the last Newsletter, I was looking forward to the launch of TriMark
Europe Ltd (TME) into the armoured vehicle market when we were heading out
for Paris to exhibit at Eurosatory
2012. This was truly an international exhibition on land security and
defence and we received leads from visitors from 36 different countries. We
have already booked our space for DSEI
which is held in London on 10 to 13 September 2013 and I am already looking
forward to that! In fact we, at TME, are going to be busy with trade shows
next year so please check the list in the left column for a partial
listing. I hope to meet with some of you at one or more of these events.
Looking at the markets, the bounce back from the lows in 2009 came faster
and stronger than most commentators predicted. However, it looks like we
are now seeing the first blip in this trend, particularly in the
construction equipment market. We have seen a number of our customers
dropping build rates significantly since the summertime. In late October, I
attended the CECE
Conference.
CECE is the body representing all the national construction equipment
trade associations in Europe), and in this speech, Mervyn King was saying
it would not be until 2015 that the UK economy would get back to the 2008
levels. This is bad enough, but of course there are many economies even
worse than this. These are tough times we are living through.
One of the promises all Governments seem to make, is to cut down on
"red tape" requirements for business. I think the reality is the
opposite, and as I write this we are in the middle of our ISO9001 and
ISO14001 audit. Legal compliance for ISO14001 gets ever more complicated
and European vehicle regulations continue to spread and the requirements
for the OEM's continue to be more demanding and complex. TriMark is
well placed to assist our customers with technical support regarding Door
Systems, so please feel free to talk to us on these matters.
In addition, we welcome feedback and suggestions for what you would like to
see in the newsletter so please feel free to drop me an email keithdolbear@trimarkeu.com
or give me a call on +44 (0)1530 512460.

Europe Expansion in Armoured Vehicle Market Launches with a Big Success at
Eurosatory 2012
|
|
From June 11 -15, 2012 the global Armoured Vehicle industry was in Paris
for Eurosatory 2012. For one week, the entire "supply chain"
could be found at the show. If you don't believe us, take a look at these
impressive numbers:
• 1,432 Exhibitor from 53 countries
• 163,000 square meters of exhibit space
• 53,470 visitors from 129 countries
• 684 journalists from all 5 continents
• 152 official delegations from 84 countries
More than a mere exhibition, Eurosatory is a platform for international exchange
dedicated to all specialists of land and air Defense and Security. In 2012,
70% of exhibitors and 48% of visitors were foreigners.
TriMark Launches New Product at Eurosatory
TriMark's new 100-5120
TriGuard Heavy-Duty Slimline Hardware Module V2 was a major
focal point of TriMark's participation in Eurosatory. TriMark's
new product provides automotive-like functionality and style in a low
profile one-piece module that simplifies vehicle mounting. Featuring TriMark's
050-1600
TriGuard Slimline Heavy Duty Latch, this robust product allows
for power-locking and is compliant to FMVSS 206. It can be used on
retrofit, up-armour applications or new surface mount vehicle construction.
The flexible, heavy duty design and manufacturing allows for custom
configurations to suit application needs.
"This new product is a good fit for us as the armoured vehicle
products need to be very high performance, extremely reliable and tough
enough to safely withstand the IED's (improvised explosive devices) that we
have all heard about from the conflicts in the Middle East," states
Keith Dolbear, TriMark Europe Director.
In addition to the Module V2 rollout, TriMark also showcased the
most recent updates to its very well respected COMMANDoor Plus with
a fully functional model that was on display.
COMMANDoor Plus
COMMANDoor Plus is a
complete power assist module that can simply and safely open and close the
heaviest of armoured vehicle doors with one intuitive motion and can be
custom engineered to fit virtually any vehicle. The door fully integrates
mechanical blast locks and a primary FMVSS 206 latch with a power-assist
actuation and control system to open and close the door for those vehicles
with very heavy doors. The inside control COMMAND Handle's unique
2-axis electromechanical design allows for simple and intuitive hand
motions by the soldier to activate the open and close action of the door.
Part of the TriGuard Heavy-Duty Hardware Family
TriGuard's line of heavy duty latches, linkages, handles and door
modules are specifically developed for heavy duty armoured vehicle
applications.
Drawing on 40 years of knowledge and expertise from working in heavy duty
door latch and hardware systems, TriMark offers several door modules
specifically developed for heavy duty armoured vehicle applications.
Already proven in several blast tests the heavy duty latch/striker survives
in punishing environment and provides rotor/cam assist to heavy
doors/armour, hinges, compensating for door sag.
TriMark can rapidly respond to needs with hardware knowledge and
expertise ultimately providing turnkey solutions. TriMark also
utilizes rapid production laser and form cells to provide maximum
flexibility to meet customer tight lead times for prototypes and production
orders without expensive tooling and long lead times.

TriMark's
e-ASK Keyless Entry System a First for the Horsebox Industry
|
|
The UK's Horse of the Year Show is one
of the equine calendar's top annual events. As well as driving and jumping
competitions and shows for everything from Shetlands to Shires, there is a
strong trade presence for all aspects of horse welfare, training, general
equipment and transport. This is where TriMark has made a
breakthrough in the field of luxury horse boxes. TriMark Europe is
already well established as a supplier to the horse trailer and horse box
markets with West Alloy and TriMark products fitted to equipment
manufactured across Europe. The 2012 Horse of the Year Show, however, saw
the first use of TriMark's e-ASK products in this field on a vehicle built
by Sovereign Horsebox of Wolverhampton.
Sovereign had already decided that they wanted to demonstrate a state of
the art vehicle and had been introduced by TME's main UK Distributor to TriMark's
e-ASK range of keyless entry products. Mitch Jackson, Managing Director of
Sovereign, immediately saw the benefits of remote locking for both ease and
security and was keen to incorporate it into this custom built vehicle.
Mitch took his inspiration for the control system from the luxury boat
market and this palace on wheels has everything that you could possibly
need. All heating and cooling and internal and external lighting are
controlled from an iPad. The same goes for the human passengers, who have
fully equipped living accommodation as good as most hotels. The hi-fi
system and pop-out external television/playback systems are also controlled
from the iPad, as is the on-board generator, in case the solar power system
and batteries cannot cope. Needless to say the personnel doors and tack
lockers are also remotely controlled and linked into the vehicle's
comprehensive alarm system. Click
here to be taken to the eASK section of TriMark's website.
Albert Jagger and TME personnel
visited Sovereign on several occasions to help with the configuration and
specific technical help from TriMark corporate in the U.S. was
appreciated on the more complex technical questions. The vehicle was
completed just in time for this year's show, which was a good job, as Mitch
was able to sell it even before the event began. Unfortunately we are not
allowed to mention the high-profile family which bought the vehicle, but
they and their horses will enjoy one of the best vehicles the market can
provide. As for the price, Mitch was fairly coy, but a figure of £500,000
would not be wide off the mark.
