Introduction
|
Welcome to the first edition of TriMark's new
e-newsletter. For the past several years, we've used "snail
mail" to communicate with you about product announcements, news
and industry events, and other information of interest at TriMark.
But the world is a fast moving place, and today people want information
faster and in a readily usable format. That's why we're proud to send
you this first issue. In each issue, our e-newsletter will include
articles on new products, tradeshow updates, business developments in
the U.S. and abroad along with topics of interest to those in the
on-road and off-road business sectors. We'll be able to use the full
power of the World Wide Web by linking our newsletter articles to
internet sites with expanded information on each topic. As importantly,
by changing to electronic news delivery, we'll also be doing more to
help our environment. We'll consume fewer paper products and the trees
needed to make them, generate less paper waste, and we'll eliminate the
energy needed for production, printing, delivery and disposal. We hope
you'll find our topics and information useful. We welcome your comments
and suggestions. Please Send
Email to tips@trimarkcorp.com.
TriMark's New 050-0700 Single Rotor Latch for Off-Highway
Applications Allows Maximum Visibility and Use of Door Space
TriMark has announced the availability of a new single rotor
latch for light to medium duty operator and compartment doors for
off-road applications. The dual position rotary latching function is
designed to be used with a 12mm striker. Available in standard left and
right hand versions, the new single rotor latch has a durable black
chromate finish which does not require painting or covers.
This compact 12mm single rotor latch offers robust construction in a
compact size and is available at a very cost effective price. Because
OEM customers require different versions for multiple applications, TriMark
offers four standard variants as well as versions allowing direct or
remote actuation with TriMark's exterior handles and interior
releases.
System kits are available and include handles,
latches and accessories which provide a comprehensive
access solution. For more information go to www.trimarkcorp.com/en/productnew.aspx.
RoHS Compliance Update
TriMark
is in full compliance with RoHS directives. While the RoHS (European
Union Directive on the Restriction of certain Hazardous Materials) term
and ELV (End-of-Life Vehicles) are terms we have now incorporated into
our almost everyday vocabulary, we wanted to provide you an update on
the current status of TriMark activities.
TriMark identified a zinc plating process that replaces hexavalent
chromium with trivalent chrome. This plating process was carefully
tested, evaluated and chosen based on its ability to provide the same
high quality appearance and corrosion protection performance that
you've always expected from TriMark product. TriMark has
been in full compliance with this product since January 1, 2007
TriMark cares about protecting our global
environment and believes that compliance with
lawful environmental regulations is part of being
a good "corporate citizen." While some
other manufacturers may debate the applicability
of RoHS and ELV to the products they manufacture,
TriMark is in full voluntary compliance
with the requirements of both regulations on all
the products we manufacture. > > MORE

TriMark
Enters the Global Armored Vehicle Market as a Part of Strategic
Expansion
|
Drawing on its 35 years of
knowledge and expertise from working in heavy duty door latch and
hardware systems, TriMark introduces several door modules
specifically developed for heavy duty armored vehicle applications.
Designed as one-piece construction, these door modules simplify vehicle
and field attachment with only 4 or 5 attachment points. These products
can be used on retrofit, up-armor applications or new surface mount
vehicle construction. The flexible, heavy duty design and manufacturing
allows for custom configurations to suit your application needs.
Already proven in several blast tests the heavy duty latch/striker
survives in punishing environments and provides rotor/cam assist to
heavy doors/armor, hinges, compensating for door sag.
TriMark has a dedicated team of engineers that can rapidly
respond to your needs with hardware knowledge and expertise ultimately
providing "turnkey" solutions. TriMark has also
invested in rapid production laser and form cells to provide maximum
flexibility to meet your tight lead times for prototypes and production
orders without expensive tooling and long lead times.
It is our privilege to be part of the Department of Defense effort to
protect the Troops and the view from the front line is that these new
armored vehicles are doing the job. Our full understanding and
commitment is that saving lives tomorrow means delivering these highly
survivable vehicles today, and TriMark is more than up to that
challenge.

TriMarkWebsite Update
Ric Marzolf, VP of Research and Development
We are well into our 7th year of the TriMark website and it has
been 18 months since the refresh that included a new home page and
platform layout, robust programming for better stability and faster
download speed, addition of photos and graphics, and the incorporation
of subsites; TriMark Europe, Service and Replacement Parts, and
Supplier.
We recently conducted a web user survey to see how the site overall
meets customer expectations. I thought you might be interested in some
of overall highlights; nine-in-ten (89%) users of the TriMark
Corporation Website report that, overall, they are extremely satisfied,
satisfied or somewhat satisfied with the site. More than four-fifths of
site guests report a positive likelihood of returning to the site and
more than four-fifths report that they probably or definitely will
recommend the site to an associate or co-worker. Nine-in ten users of 9
of the 15 website elements that were included in this survey reported
that these elements meet or exceed their needs.
Other newsworthy information regarding the survey includes the fact
that more than one-half of guests to the TriMark Corporation
Website report the reason for their most recent visit to the site was
"searching for a particular part". The intention for the
Website is to show/list all released part numbers in the database to
support both internal and external customers for standard products,
customer specials as well as customer proprietary parts. The survey
also identified some areas where we will be focusing efforts and
resources so that we can achieve a higher level of customer
satisfaction.
Work is well underway to take the site to the next level of
functionality as a global tool. The programming is complete to allow
multilingual translations and have the Chinese translation process
started for launch of a new China subsite to coincide with a major
trade show where we are displaying in China. The current plan is to add
other European languages in early 2008 for the support of TriMark
Europe.
So in closing, the internet is providing TriMark a new dimension
to our global sales, marketing and technical product information
accessibility, but like everything else we must continue to improve and
refine.
It is a very exciting time at TriMark as we continue to develop
and implement our "electronic strategy" (this newsletter is
another example) so that we can better serve the needs of our growing
national and international customer base.
